Who We Are
San Jose Heating & Cooling is a locally owned HVAC company serving homeowners across Santa Clara County and the surrounding Bay Area. For more than 20 years, we have been the company people call when the furnace quits in January, when the AC gives out during a heat wave, and when it is finally time to replace a system that has been limping along for a decade.
We are not a national chain with a local phone number. Our technicians live and work in the same neighborhoods they service, which is how we can dispatch same-day across the South Bay and Peninsula and why we understand what these homes actually need. A 1960s ranch in Willow Glen has different problems than a new build in Morgan Hill or a Peninsula home with an addition that never got proper airflow, and twenty years of working in them is the difference between guessing and knowing.
That experience shows up in the small things. Correct sizing instead of matching whatever was there before. Honest answers about whether a system can be repaired or needs replacing. Showing up when we said we would.
What We Do
We handle the full range of residential HVAC work, from emergency repairs to complete system replacements.
Heating:
Furnace and heat pump repair, installation, replacement, and seasonal tune-ups, with 24/7 emergency service when the heat goes out.
Cooling:
Central air and ductless mini-split repair, installation, replacement, and maintenance, plus emergency AC service during the summer months.
Electrical:
Our California license covers the electrical work that HVAC projects sometimes require, including main panel upgrades, so a panel that cannot carry a new system does not stall your installation.
Home performance:
Ductwork, attic and crawl space insulation, vapor barriers, whole house fans, indoor air quality solutions, and smart thermostat installation.
We do not install or service boilers or water heaters. When a job falls outside what we do well, we say so.

We are fully licensed in California under license #1060833 and carry standard liability and workers’ compensation coverage. That means the people working in your home are qualified, insured, and accountable for the work they do.

- Manufacturer warranties up to 10 years: Most equipment we install carries manufacturer coverage of up to a decade.
- 1-year labor warranty: Our own workmanship is covered for a full year. If something comes up after we leave, you call us and we make it right at no additional cost.
- No unnecessary upsells: If your system can be repaired, we will tell you. Plenty of the equipment we look at has years left in it, and we would rather say so than sell you something you do not need.
